High School Football : Channel Islands Struggles Past Rival Simi Valley

It was not a game you would use to teach the fundamentals of football. But despite numerous mistakes, 2 fumbles and 140 yards in penalties, Channel Islands defeated Simi Valley, 28-20, in a Marmonte League game Saturday night at Hueneme High.
Channel Islands’ Vince Medina (8 of 13 for 137 yards) threw touchdown passes of 10 yards to Chris Mesa and 4 yards to Mike King in the first half.
