PREP FOOTBALL : Katella Runs Past Orange for a 23-0 Victory

After only three weeks into the season, Katella High School looks as if it’s ready to compete for the Empire League title.
Senior running back Joe Pastorello scored 2 touchdowns and rushed for 150 yards in 26 carries to help Katella to a 23-0 nonleague victory over Orange Friday night at Glover Stadium in front of 1500.
Pastorello’s two touchdowns runs give him seven for the season as Katella improved to 2-1. Orange, which finished fourth in the Pacific Coast League last year is 0-3.
“He’s (Pastorello) a great fullback and showed that tonight, “ Katella Coach Larry Anderson said. “He got stronger as the game went on.”
Orange had offensive trouble as Katella recored five turnovers, four on fumbles and an interception.
