Tudor Good, but Let’s Not Forget Guerrero
- Share via
Let’s not kid ourselves. The Dodgers did not trade Pedro Guerrero for John Tudor to win the pennant, or even to improve the ballclub.
They did it to save money. Instead of letting Guerrero become a free agent, the club dealt him, got what they could and saved a million dollars. It was an excellent move for business, but a horrible move for baseball.
