A vote on Los Angeles producer Merv Griffin’s offer to buy casino-owner Resorts International was delayed until Tuesday. Because of confusion over the date of Friday’s special shareholder meeting, insufficient proxy votes were represented at the meeting. Griffin agreed last May to buy the company’s stock and simultaneously sell its biggest hotel-casino, the unfinished Taj Mahal, to New York financier Donald J. Trump, who now controls Resorts.
