A doughnut store clerk was shot and wounded early Saturday by a teen-ager attempting to rob the store, police said.
The clerk, 23-year-old Roeun Khin, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital for treatment of a bullet wound to the buttocks. He was listed in satisfactory condition.
The suspected assailant, a 16-year-old male, was arrested after police found him hiding under a car parked in a nearby alley.
Police said Khin was working inside the Golden Donut, 2360 University Ave., at about 12:45 a.m. when the teen entered the store, pointed a handgun at him and demanded money. Khin turned away from the assailant and had begun to run when he was shot, police said.
