The Siskiyou County Grand Jury accused Dist. Atty. Charles Slote and Assistant Dist. Atty. Jeff Marschner of misconduct and dereliction of duty. The indictment alleged that the two were lenient in arranging plea bargaining in some child abuse and child molestation cases. They were are accused of lying to the grand jury during an investigation. Slote, 46, said the charges are politically motivated.
