Montgomery Ward will close its regional office in Rosemead as part of a plan to reorganize its field offices. The Chicago-based department store chain, which is also shutting its regional office in Kansas City, said it will try to reassign the nearly 40 employees in the Rosemead office to other Ward operations. Ward said no employee cutbacks are planned for its 35 Southern California stores and that it expected to increase the size of its team of merchandise field managers in the area.
