A 92-year-old East San Diego woman was hospitalized after being assaulted in her home Tuesday afternoon, San Diego Police Sgt. Anne O’Dell said.
The victim, who suffered bruises and a head cut, was listed in satisfactory condition at Sharp’s Cabrillo Hospital on Wednesday, a hospital spokesman said.
According to O’Dell, a man broke into the house located in the 3700 block of Richmond Street between 2 and 5:30 p.m., beat the victim, ransacked her house, and fled. The victim was found by her daughter.
“There is a high probability that she was sexually assaulted,” O’Dell said.
