The United States and Canada signed an agreement that provides for the exchange of drug investigators and the sharing of drug trafficking intelligence. The accord, signed by Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese III and Canadian Solicitor General James Kelleher, calls for agents of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to be stationed in Canada at locations yet to be determined. In return, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will assign its members to offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
