The Navy will pay Grumman Corp. up to $60 million as its share of development cost overruns on the upgraded F-14D fighter jet. The Navy and the Bethpage, N.Y., firm agreed to a 50-50 split of costs above the 1984 Grumman development contract of $984.3 million for the first four jets.
