Prep Soccer : Oldham’s Two Goals Lead Mater Dei, 6-0

Paul Oldham scored his 34th and 35th goals of the season to lead Mater Dei High School to a 6-0 victory over Pius X Saturday in an Angelus League boys’ soccer match at Pius X.
The Monarchs (21-1-1 overall and 7-0 in conference) also received a pair of goals from John Coggins. John Weigand added two assists, and goalie Mike Reis had a pair of saves.
Edgar Arnada had eight saves for Pius X, which fell to 0-7 in league.
In another Angelus League game:
Servite 1, Bishop Amat 0--Marc Melnik scored with an assist from Erwin Garcia to lead the host Friars (14-5-1, 5-5-5) over Bishop Amat. Goalie Tom Nieto had six saves for Servite.
The Friars played without leading scorer Rhett Harty, who was chosen for a Junior National regional all-star team that will play the West German national team at Tempe, Ariz., today.
Bishop Amat is 3-3-1 in league.
