Titans Favored for Baseball Title

Cal State Fullerton’s baseball team, the defending Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. champion, has been picked to repeat in the coaches’ and media polls.
Fullerton, under its new coach, Larry Cochell, received four of eight first-place votes from the coaches and 13 of 24 first-place votes from the media.
UC Irvine, which returned 19 players, was picked second by the media and third by the coaches.
Fresno State was picked second by the coaches, getting two first-place votes. Irvine and UC Santa Barbara each received one first-place vote in the coaches’ poll.
