According to Orion Pictures, the last theater in the United States still playing Allen’s “September” is in San Francisco--where the drama took in about $4,000 at the Vogue last weekend. For the most part, audiences and critics turned thumbs down on “September,” which has grossed only $440,000 since its limited release on 15 screens in December. On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, meanwhile, Loew’s New York Twin replaced the Allen film last weekend with Cannon’s “Braddock: Missing in Action III,” starring Chuck Norris.
