Colonel Among Dead in Somalia Copter Crash

MOGADISHU, Somalia — An army colonel, two air force pilots and the manager of Somalia’s fuel trading cooperatives were among the 12 dead in a helicopter crash in northwest Somalia last Wednesday, officials said Saturday.
The air force helicopter crashed while trying to land at the small town of Gargar, between Hargeisa and the Red Sea port of Zeila.
