California Energy Co. has named Michael H. Heys, 52, president and chief operating officer, succeeding Harold H. Robinson III, 48, who becomes vice chairman. California Energy Co., headquartered in San Francisco, is a vertically integrated independent power producer that generates electricity from its own geothermal resources. Heys previously was senior vice president and chief financial officer for Guy F. Atkinson Co., a construction and engineering company.
