Bradley Appoints 4 Acting Heads of City Departments

Four acting department heads were named by Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley Wednesday to fill top-level City Hall vacancies.
In each case, the city is conducting a search for permanent executives.
Rodney Punt, assistant general manager of the Cultural Affairs Department, replaces Fred Croton, who resigned amid charges that he falsified his resume.
Ed Rowe, an assistant general manager in the Department of Transportation, will take over for recently retired Donald Howery.
Harreld Adams, an assistant general manager of the Community Development Department, will replace Doug Ford, who recently resigned to go into private business.
Faye Washington, an assistant chief legislative analyst for the City Council, replaces Dennis Jackson, who resigned as head of the Department of Aging.
