Possibly severing a partnership that lasted for years and was lampooned on “The Tonight Show,” Johnny Carson and attorney Henry Bushkin may have separated, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The trade paper reported that Bushkin has been supplanted at Carson Productions by attorney Ed Hookstratten. One of the trade paper’s unnamed sources said the move was connected to the proposed sale of Carson Productions, but another said the Carson-Bushkin duo was intact and Hookstratten has been called in to steward the company during the sale.
