School District’s Class Schedules
This year J. Thornsley and his school board of the Capistrano Unified School District have our junior high schools running like reform schools. Our children are expected to sit through four consecutive 56-minute classes without a mid-morning break and with only 35 minutes to stand in line and receive lunch and eat.
Our youngsters are expected to have attention and concentration for 56 minutes, six times daily, hurry through lunch and go home to homework.
Where is their social time, where is time for personal hygiene or use of restrooms and where is a nutrition break?
We need to stop this education board from violating children’s rights. I believe if this harsh policy continues, we will not only see more delinquents, but lower grade-point averages as well.
