In the Outtakes item from Rio de Janiero about the upcoming movie “Prisoners of Rio” (by Donald Chase, Nov. 1), Chase states that British fugitive Ronnie Biggs is played by “Paul Freeman (the Nazi villain of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’). . . .”
Freeman played the smooth-talking, handsome French archeologist Rene Belloq, who was Indiana Jones’ arch-rival.
Belloq was hired by the Nazis to find the Ark for Hitler, he was a member of the mercenary party . . . not the Nazi party.
