POISON PILL: The feud between Geffen Records publicity chief Bryn Bridenthal and mascara-rockers Poison--stemming from a post-concert Motley Crue party incident where band members Bobby Dall and Bret Michaels repeatedly doused Bridenthal with ice-cold buckets of champagne--has escalated. Bridenthal filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court late last month asking for a restraining order preventing the defendants (who also include Poison managers Rod Smallwood and Tom Mohler) from harassing Bridenthal further. Bridenthal is asking for $1 million in punitive damages from the band, which records for Capitol/Enigma Records.

“Initially, all I wanted was an apology--a simple phone call would’ve been fine,” she said. “But since the band and its management have made it clear that they don’t take this seriously, I want more--at least something to prove they’re genuinely sorry. I certainly didn’t think it was funny.”

The band initially issued a statement explaining: “We thought throwing champagne was a sign of friendship.” Now the group’s publicist, Michael Jensen, says: “The group is trying to come to an amicable agreement with Bryn. We can’t say anything more now, but I think it’ll be great for everyone involved.”
