Kennedy of Kings Breaks a Finger

PHILADELPHIA — Defenseman Dean Kennedy broke his left index finger Friday night at Buffalo and is not expected to play tonight when the Kings wind up a seven-game trip against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Spectrum.
The Kings are 2-3-1 on the trip and have failed to score on their last 10 power plays. They were 0 for 6 in Friday night’s 5-1 loss to the Sabres.
Trainer Pete Demers said that the extent of Kennedy’s injury will be determined by team physicians after the Kings return home Monday.
