Union Building Headquarters

Koll Construction Co. has begun construction of a $5.3-million headquarters office building at Raymond Avenue and Corson Street in Pasadena for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12. The union is now headquartered in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.
Designed by Langdon Wilson Mumper, architects, of Los Angeles, the building, located alongside the Foothill Freeway, will reflect the tone of the nearby St. Andrews Church, according to Trent C. Anderson, vice president in charge of Koll’s Los Angeles Division.
A Mediterranean theme will combine two types of brick with sandblasted stone, recalling the materials and architecture of the historic church, Anderson explained.
