A British yacht, skippered by 1987 British champions James Hartly and Lan Tillett, finished second in Thursday’s race but kept the overall lead after three races in the international 14-foot dinghy world championships in Tokyo.
Britons Charles Stanley and John Hodgart took second position in the overall standings by winning Thursday’s race with a time of 2 hours, 51 minutes in the 18-mile race on Lake Inawashiro.
