Wells Fargo plans a hybrid mortgage that can be converted from a fixed rate to an adjustable rate, joining a growing number of savings institutions offering such loans. Under Wells Fargo’s plan, the loan will start with a fixed rate with five- and seven-year terms. After the initial period, the loan converts to an adjustable rate that can change every six months.
