U.S. Ships in Persian Gulf

Our congressmen have done it again. Precisely when the price of oil was rising, now at around $20 a barrel level, they raise the speed limit so we can burn more fossil fuels and incidentally kill each other in larger numbers. But it helps to support further oil prices rises.
We send our military to protect oil tankers to “ensure” that Middle East oil supplies reach here. They risk our young Marines’ and sailors’ lives and invite mayhem and a consequent higher death rate on the highways.
If Congress could disappear for a year, we could balance the budget just from their salaries and hearings. We should be so lucky.
