Valerie Harper returned to work Tuesday on the NBC show “Valerie” after settling a salary dispute. Harper missed one episode when she refused to report for work July 27 in a demand for a higher salary, said Barbara Brogliatti, a spokeswoman for Lorimar-Telepictures. The show was filmed without her. Lorimar filed suit against Harper in Los Angeles Superior Court, asking for an injunction to prevent her from working anywhere else during the remaining four years of her six-year contract. Harper had asked for more money, but both Lorimar and NBC declined to meet her demand. There was no comment on the salary compromise.
