Police Chief’s Resignation
Those poor San Clemente policemen. Imagine, being asked to work for their salary and maintain a modicum of professionalism in their performance and appearance. Come on, discipline is part of the job.
And spirit-of-the-law versus letter-of-the-law thinking is incredible. According to The Times, 80% of the force feels it is better to turn drunks over to a friend or relative rather than book them. Tough luck for the Angels that John Candelaria wasn’t stopped in San Clemente.
