Cycle Races Will Be Held in Beverly Hills

Rebecca Twigg Whitehead and Thurlow Rogers are the favorites for the Subaru Cycling Invitational that will be run today in Beverly Hills. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 11:30 a.m., with the women’s race at 11:55. A celebrity pedi-cab race will precede the men’s race, scheduled to start at 2:45 p.m.

The 4/10ths-mile course begins in front of the Rodeo Collection on Rodeo Drive and follows Brighton Way, Beverly Drive and Little Santa Monica Boulevard. Cyclists will ride 75 laps for a total of $25,000 in prize money.
