A workshop on the filing of returns under the new federal income tax law will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 21 in Room 110 of Orange Coast College’s counseling and admissions building.
Donna Nance, chairman of the Professional Education Committee of the California Society of Enrolled Agents and an Internal Revenue Service agent, said the workshop will cover changes in tax laws, various tax forms, frequently overlooked deductions, when to itemize and which records to keep.
“Participants who bring complete tax documents will receive assistance with their personal tax returns,” a college spokeswoman said. She said blank tax forms will be provided.
The session is free and open to the public.
