Strongly performing segments at home and abroad contributed to increased earnings for Midland, Mich.-based Dow Chemical Co. in the 1986 year. However, revenue was slightly off, due to a drop in the resale of naphtha and other feedstocks, a spokesman said. Excluding the impact of feedstock resales, revenue for 1986 was up over that of the previous year. Industrial and consumer specialties particularly showed continued growth and improved profitability, the spokesman added.
