Garza Stops Linares in 5th at Long Beach

Jaime Garza of San Fernando stopped Carlos Linares of Mexico in the fifth round of a scheduled 10-round featherweight bout Wednesday night at the Spruce Goose Pavilion in Long Beach.
With the victory, Garza, improved his record to 44-1 with 42 knockouts. Linares fell to 25-13.
