Apology

Ronald H. Greenfield of the Peabody Coal Co. (Letters, Nov. 19), replying to my letter (Sept. 16), states that the Peabody Coal Co. is not involved in the relocation of Navajo and Indian tribal members in the Big Mountain area.
I am very happy to learn that the Peabody Coal Co. is not engaged in plundering the natural resources of these Indian tribes. I apologize profusely to him and the company; my information was based on an inaccurate news report.
However, I am sure that he will agree with my contention that our liberal politicians--and the voters who elected them--continue to froth at the mouth about events in South Africa, Chile, Nicaragua, and wherever, while ignoring the welfare of our native American Indians. Charity should begin at home.
