Westwood : Hughes to Build Medical Unit

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute will build an $11.5-million facility on the UCLA campus, according to UCLA Chancellor Charles E. Young.
The unit will support medical research programs in genetics and immunology.
The institute has 21 units at the nation’s top medical centers. It supports studies in medicine that emphasize structural, molecular and cell biology.
