Barbaro Garbey, former Detroit Tiger infielder and designated hitter, is facing charges of cocaine possession in Miami. Garbey, 29, who lives in suburban Detroit, was stopped for speeding and then allegedly threw away a folded dollar bill that contained cocaine, police said.
Garbey was in Miami for the funeral of an aunt when he was stopped at 3:30 a.m. last Friday. He was taken to Dade County jail but was released on $5,000 bond.
