Mission Viejo : 3 Injured as Car, Truck Collide at Intersection

Two teen-agers and a woman were injured in a traffic accident Sunday in which a sedan was hit broadside by a pickup truck.
The car driven by Kristi Lynn Rae, 16, of Irvine was hit broadside after she stopped briefly at the intersection of Vista del Lago and Los Alisos Boulevard, then pulled in front of a car heading east on Los Alisos, California Highway Patrol Officer Steve Bell said.
The girl, who suffered a broken shoulder and broken ribs in the 5:20 p.m. accident, was in satisfactory condition Monday at Mission Community Hospital, authorities said.
Her passenger, Paul Leone, 17, of Mission Viejo, was treated for a broken shoulder at Mission Community and released, Bell said.
The driver of the pickup truck, Elizabeth Castellanos, 34, of Mission Viejo, was treated for minor injuries at Saddleback Community Hospital in Laguna Hills and released. Neither driver was cited, but Bell said an investigation was continuing.
