CHICAGO — A 5-year-old boy was in critical condition Monday after being shot in the head by a 2-year-old playmate who was trying to show him a pistol he had found in a dresser drawer, authorities said. Police said Alpha Thompson was shot in the left temple by a .38-caliber handgun Sunday.
