UCLA, Duke Meet in Soccer Final

Duke struggled to a 1-0 overtime victory over Cal State Los Angeles, while UCLA scored an easy 4-1 victory over New Mexico Saturday in the opening round of the UCLA/Metropolitan Life Pacific Tournament at UCLA.
The seventh-ranked Blue Devils (12-4-1) were held in check by Cal State Los Angeles (4-9-2) until Tom Stone scored the game’s only goal three minutes into overtime.
Four UCLA players scored goals as the fourth-ranked Bruins defeated New Mexico. Defenseman Paul Caligiuri had one goal, and Shaun Del Grande had two assists for the defending NCAA champion Bruins.
Duke and UCLA will play today at 2 p.m. in the final game of the tournament. New Mexico will play Cal State Los Angeles at noon.
