A woman who came to the United States three years ago from the Philippines won a grand prize of $6.1 million payable over 20 years in the California Lottery’s “Big Spin.” Aurelia Garzota, 56, of Fremont said she plans to quit her $3.60-an-hour job of packing men’s neckties.
