Micheal Ray Richardson, former New Jersey Nets star who was banned from the National Basketball Assn., was barred from playing in Israel by the International Basketball Assn. because of his past association with drugs.

Richardson, who was earning $750,000 a year with the Nets, had signed with Hapoel Ramat Gan in Israel for only $60,000 a season.
