Nebraska football Coach Tom Osborne said that at least one Cornhusker player, possibly more, has used steroids but said the football program will continue to try to wipe out use of the drug.
Osborne said at his weekly news conference that recent comments about steroids by Oklahoma Coach Barry Switzer had sparked a number of questions about whether Nebraska players use steroids.
In Sports Illustrated, Switzer was quoted as saying of UCLA: “They’re not like Nebraska. They haven’t discovered steroids yet.”
Oklahoma thrashed UCLA this year, and Nebraska has scored lopsided wins over the Bruins in recent years.
