The League of Women Voters of Los Angeles wishes to congratulate your editorial staff for the “right on the head” editorial (Sept. 11), “Missing in Inaction”.
We sincerely hope that Gov. George Deukmejian and Sen. Alan Cranston can see their way clear to give California voters the opportunity to see them in a debate format against their opponents. Voter turnout has been so low in our past elections that any factor that can turn it around should be pursued.
