ADELAIDE, Australia — Louise Briers shot a 1-under-par 73 Sunday to lead Australia to victory in an amateur women’s golf tournament.
Briers teamed with Edwina Kennedy, who shot a 77, to give Australia a score of 150 and a total of 303, three shots ahead of Britain-Ireland, and four in front of Sweden.
Britain-Ireland led after 11 holes but Vicki Thomas’s quadruple bogey on No. 15, a par 5, gave Australia the lead.
