A 31-year-old Ramona man died of stab wounds to the chest early Sunday after a fight on Grand Avenue, sheriff’s deputies reported.
According to witnesses, Kenneth Redmond and a companion were walking down the street at about 12:20 a.m. when they were accosted by two or three suspects, sheriff’s deputies said. Redmond was stabbed during the fight. He was taken to Mercy Hospital where he died about 2:15 a.m., coroner’s deputies said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives had no suspects in the killing.
