Pasadena : Health Funds Available
The Legislature has passed a bill that would allow Pasadena and four other cities to apply for state grants to construct health facilities.
The measure, sponsored by the city of Long Beach, would allow city health departments that provide public health services and care to indigents to join counties in applying for capital financing from a special $30-million fund.
In addition to Long Beach, other cities that provide full public health services and could apply for assistance are Berkeley, Vernon and San Joaquin.
