U.S. government complaints about lax security at Manila International Airport should be fully resolved in the next two to three weeks, Philippine Tourism Minister Jose Antonio Gonzalez said. Once the problems are corrected, the U.S. officials are expected to lift the travel warnings issued last week that threaten to harm tourism and the islands’ recovery efforts, Gonzalez said. Security has been tightened in passenger screening and airport perimeter guarding, he said.
