Shipwreck Survivors Let Out of Hospital

HONOLULU — Six crew members from a sunken tugboat who were rescued after drifting in life rafts for two weeks have been released from the hospital.
“They’re elated,” Paula Rath, of the Straub Medical Clinic, said of the group Monday. “They’re all so happy to be alive and anxious to get on with their lives.”
The five men, one woman and a small dog were picked up by the U.S. Navy intelligence ship Indomitable on Saturday, about 580 miles north of the island of Hawaii.
