Construction is under way on the $1.8-million Encinitas TraveLodge.
The 39-room franchise motel is expected to open this month in Encinitas at 186 N. Pacific Coast Highway.
Designed by Richard H. Williams, the two-story Mediterranean-style motel is being built by G. A. Construction with financing provided by General Bank.
