A year ago, the Chatsworth company earned $102,000, or 3 cents a share, on sales of $4.4 million.
The company attributed the better performance to efficiency and planning improvements that cut expenses. Datametrics also benefited from a tax loss carryforward of $286,000 in the most recent quarter, versus a carryforward of $45,000 a year ago.
