Radinsky Signs With White Sox

Scott Radinsky, Simi Valley High’s best pitcher, signed a contract with the Chicago White Sox on Thursday and will report June 21 to the team’s Gulf Coast League rookie team in Sarasota, Fla.
Radinsky’s coach, Mike Scyphers, negotiated the contract, but neither Scyphers nor Radinsky would reveal the amount of the signing bonus. Incentive bonuses and a clause that has the White Sox pay for Radinsky’s college education were part of the contract, Scyphers and Radinsky said. Radinsky was drafted in the third round in this week’s amateur draft.
Radinsky’s teammate, shortstop Dave Milstien, was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the eighth round.
