E. Germany Assigns Woman to Berlin Post

WEST BERLIN — East Germany deployed a female border scout on the Berlin Wall this week, apparently for the first time, Western customs officials said Friday.
They said they saw the young blonde officer in olive-green uniform and armed with a pistol, taking photographs of passers-by, Western officials and observers on the Western side of the wall.
